These fantastic coasters are made with Bullseye Tekta clear glass and Copper Oxide powder.  A layer of the black Copper Oxide powder is sprinkled randomly on a piece of Tekta and is then capped with a second piece of Tekta.  When the coaster has been “cooked” in the kiln the Copper Oxide changes from black into a beautiful blue colour and  hundreds and hundreds of tiny blue bubbles are also created during the firing process.  The random sprinkling of the Copper Oxide powder and the amount used on each coaster determines the size and number of bubbles created so it is therefore impossible to make two exactly the same.

These coasters are not dishwasher safe and hand washing is recommended.
